The Southern Connecticut Women's Golf Association is a partnership of twelve women's clubs from Southwest CT and two New York border associations.  These courses include:  Longshore, Tashua Knolls, Grassy Hill, Orange Hills, Laurel View, D. Fairchild Wheeler, Sterling Farms, Oak Hills, Rye, Maple Moor, Griff-Harris as well as H. Smith Richardson.  These are tournaments where each course hosts the other 11 members for one tournament each year, normally not playing in your own tournament.  Format is usually three flights, low net/low gross, but has been a best ball format as well, with skills prizes for closest to the pin, closest to the line and or longest drive (per flight).  Numbers of players in each tournament can range from 45-90 players, depending on the popularity of the venue and availability of tee times, or up to 144 for the end of the year championship tournament. 

To Join- 2008 dues are $25, $30 afterJuly 1st. Kaia James SCWGA rep kmjames@optonline.net .  Must have a handicap less than 30.4 .
